Leola Wilkerson

Advisory Board and Volunteer Coordinator

Leola Wilkerson

Leola Wilkerson’s first connection with Emerson Theater Collaborative (ETC) was seeing Harriet Tubman while at Three Rivers Community College. Enrolled in a theater class, she wrote a review, which her teacher shared with Camilla Ross. “I also filled out a slip indicating my desire to volunteer. And the next time I attended an ETC production, Camilla was so gracious and easy to converse with, I felt very included and appreciated.”

The organization’s professionalism and quality are what initially inspired Leola to volunteer. Now an advisory board member, she feels she has a say in ETC’s future, a privilege that means a lot to her. Her main goal is to help ETC obtain as many grants as possible to fund ongoing events and broaden their outreach.

Leola’s background has mainly been in IT and, most recently, doing tax preparation for H&R Block. However, Leola loves theater, and helping with set design, props and costumes, or joining the ensemble or chorus. She’s always loved music too, and singing with or playing piano for church choirs.
