SUMMARY:Barefoot in the Park
DESCRIPTION:As we celebrate Emerson Theater Collaborative’s ten year anniversary\, we are proud to bring Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park to Sedona\, Arizona on December4th\, 5th and 6th. Produced by Camilla Ross. Directed by Joshua Ramos. \nPaul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find-too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a six day honeymoon\, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco\, where everything that can go wrong\, does. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie\, as she sees it. He’s too staid\, too boring and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous\, running “barefoot in the park” would be a start. \nBarefoot in the Park was adapted into a 1967 feature film\, starring Robert Redford\, Jane Fonda\, Mildred Natwick and Charles Boyer. The play opened on Broadway at the Biltmore Theatre on October 23\, 1963. It was Neil Simon’s longest-running hit\, and the tenth-longest running non-musical play in Broadway history. Barefoot in the Park was nominated for Four Tony Awards\, winning Best Direction of a Play in 1964. \nDATE/TIME:\n• Friday\, December 4th* 7pm\n• Saturday\, December 5th 7pm\n• Sunday\, December 6th 2pm \nTICKETS:\nPick your seats with our reserved “seating” map.\n• Advance Purchase / General Seating – $35\n• Advance Purchase / Reserved Seating – $45\n• At-the-Door – $45 \nNo Refunds! \n*Opening night of the show includes a pre-event with a NYC style hot dog with all the toppings.
